Plan A ‘WICKED Green’ Getaway in San Francisco
This special package is available through the run of the show the ‘WICKED Green.’ The overnight package includes a deluxe guest room at the eco-friendly Orchard or Orchard Garden Hotel, WICKED CD soundtrack, complimentary express breakfast and a special turndown sweet from Sugar Bowl Bakery that even Elphaba would love.
In addition, the city’s ‘greenest’ hotels are offering a WICKED inspired pre-theater menu at signature Roots and Daffodil restaurants. Diners will enjoy three organic courses with choices including a vegetarian Quadling County Split Pea Soup, Munchkinland Wild Mushroom Tamale Pie with Chanterelles and Truffles, and house made Fiyero Madeleines for dessert, just to name a few.
The ‘green-from-the-inside-out’ Orchard Garden Hotel, San Francisco’s only LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified hotel, is a sister property to the award-winning and LEED registered Orchard Hotel. Both offer the best of the city’s boutique accommodations with a focus on eco-friendly services and amenities. The hotels are located just steps from Union Square, Chinatown and other city favorites.
Also include in the package is a selection of a witches’ brew — the Green Elixir cocktail for adults ($12) and the non-alcoholic Glinda for the younger munchkins ($7). The three course dinner is $39 per person, not including beverages, tax or gratuity.
WICKED had its world premiere at San Francisco’s Curran Theatre on May 28, 2003. This opening followed a long development process during which the entire creative team and cast immersed themselves in the brand new material at the Curran theatre to launch a spectacular phenomenon that has since redefined theatrical pop culture. WICKED returned to San Francisco in the summer of 2005, where it played an unprecedented 6-week limited run selling out every seat for every single performance.
