The Powell Gardens in Kansas City is a beautiful place to visit when in the Midwest. With 915 acres of lush, rolling hills and windswept meadows, the Powell Gardens is a Gardener’s Delight. It is also a ideal place for exercise. Walking among the 3.25-mile Byron Shultz Nature and Hiking Trail you’ll soon find frog-filled ponds, and the scent of blooms in the woods of honey locust as you continue on into a field of meadow flowers. It is definitely a refreshing retreat from the office or a hectic schedule.
